Why work with Gaia Law?
Binding Financial Agreements are a complex and highly specialised area of law. They are not agreements that can be confidently drafted or reviewed as a once-off exercise. Quality BFAs require a working, up-to-date understanding of Family Law and the ability to carefully tailor each agreement to individual circumstances.
Our practice is focused primarily on BFAs. We continually refine our expertise in this area so our clients are supported by a lawyer who is passionate about conscious relationships, working collaboratively to create agreements that support clarity, fairness, and long-term security.

Your brand is more than just a logo or name—it’s your reputation, energy, and impact in the world. At Gaia Law, we provide comprehensive Trade Mark services across Australia and internationally, helping entrepreneurs protect what they’ve built with clarity and confidence.
A registered Trade Mark gives you exclusive rights to use your name, logo, or slogan in connection with your goods or services—making enforcement easier and preventing others from trading on your goodwill.
Our Trade Mark services
We advise and act across the full Trade Mark lifecycle, including:
Australian Trade Mark applications (IP Australia)
International applications via the Madrid Protocol
Strategic advice on registrability, scope, and long-term protection
Availability and risk searches prior to filing
Classification strategy (including multi-class and complex businesses)
Preparation and lodgement of applications
Ongoing management of the examination process
Fees and how we work
Our initial Trade Mark filing fee is $750, which includes:
An initial consultation with you
A Trade Mark availability search
Strategic advice on registrability and class coverage
Preparation and lodgement of your application
This fee is plus the official IP Australia fee of $250 per class for a one-dimensional business (for example, an accounting practice or florist, etc).
However, if your business is multifaceted—such as life coaching combined with retreats, education, events—you may require multiple classes. IP Australia charges $250 per additional class.
Beyond filing, we operate on a staged fixed-fee basis, with each stage quoted and agreed before work commences.
Trade Mark matters in Australia are inherently unpredictable, and every application is unique. For this reason, it is not possible to quote a total cost upfront when dealing with IP Australia.
Ongoing and advanced Trade Mark services
We also assist with:
Adverse Examination Reports and submissions to overcome objections
Oppositions, including filing, defending, and settlement strategy
Preparation and submission of evidence in opposition proceedings
Non-use removal applications and defence of non-use actions
Trade Mark Assignments and Licensing Agreements
Renewals and portfolio management to maintain long-term protection
Whether you’re launching, scaling, expanding internationally, or defending your position in the market, we support you with strategic, practical Trade Mark advice—grounded, transparent, and commercially focused.

Tylie has been prompt, professional and more than willing to support me and provide advice.
